I was always told to fight
fire with fire.
That was until I met water.
I, a raging flame,
smothered by a liquid.
Yet I continue to burn in embers,
and water continues to
drown my colors of red.

And embrace my divine

I ran my fingers through your hair
Like the pages of a good book
My body folded under the intimacy
As I craved to be a part of your storyline

When love reaches your doorstep
Do not run away
For even the most tainted hearts
Need to be taught how to love
