Control Me

I built an entire world
I placed a home for you to reside in
And for some reason you still envied
All prior lands I lent to others
You seemingly never realized
That the small patches of grass I grewĀ
Were a precursor to the beautiful fields
I once wanted you to own

Assumptions

Lingering in silenceĀ
But you wish to be heard
Expecting the best
Without speaking a word
I cannot read your mind
Darling please help me learn
I may mirror your pain
But assumptions leave burns

Enraged

I can feel the fireĀ
As it rages up inside of me
It rises once againĀ
Slowly forming who I’m meant to be
Tried to be too different
Tried too hard to never disagree
But you were never with it
Now my love comes with a pricey fee

Contentment

I never felt at peace
And now my world is standing stillĀ
The war used to consumeĀ
But now no voids call me to fillĀ
I used to never sleep
Now nights bring dark against my will
I never feel too weary
Now that the calm seeks all my thrill
